Sanctified, Called, Empowered, Beautiful
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 (NIV)
It’s okay to be different. In living for Jesus, unapologetically be yourself! When we focus on pleasing God first and foremost; the Lord is able to do His work through us. In making this life more about His glory and less about our own, we start to understand His unique vision for our lives.
On a daily basis, step into the shoes of the woman God created you to be. Stop trying to borrow Katy Perry’s high heels, or the cute tennis shoes your neighbor wears with her perfectly fitting yoga pants. Wear the shoes God designed for you. Nobody else wears them better!
As Christ-followers, we should embrace our differences with the world. With all of the voices of the world swirling around us, shouting things that contradict Christ; I am afraid that some godly women are getting sucked into this tornado. Even some who are strong enough to stand, shy away from defending the Truth.
Gentleness, is a fruit of the Spirit, yes. But Peter stood by, and denied Jesus on the day of His crucifixion by remaining silent. In this day and age, it seems that everyone and their puppy dog has an opinion. Let’s not deny God’s Truth by accepting words of blaspheme spoken from non-believers. We don’t have to be judgmental, but we should be women with backbones when it comes to sticking up for our faith in Christ.
Be brave. Be bold. Stand out for Jesus. According to Christ, you are Sanctified, Called, Empowered, and Beautiful. Be confident in representing Jesus, in a humble way.
